Guidi Marcello Ltd. is a family owned import, wholesale, and Italian market, which prides itself on its extensive knowledge of Italian food & beverage products. This knowledge has been passed down through three generations, starting with its founder, Marcello Guidi, who left his Tuscan hometown of Lucca in 1945.
In 1981, his son Marco, now acting as owner & president of the company, relocated the headquarters of Guidi Marcello Ltd. to Santa Monica, California, when Los Angeles was ripe & ready for a purveyor of fine Italian products. With the support of his wife Ani, and later his daughter Gessica, the business evolved into a budding enterprise, which grew to include a now long standing staff of employees.
Backed by years of experience, a good reputation & excellent relationships in the business, Guidi Marcello Ltd. is truly a standout company taking pride in its extensive line of foods & beverages. Through frequent trips to Italy & keeping a keen eye on food trends, the ever expanding line of products include mineral water, wine & beer, regional extra virgin olive oils, vinegars, San Marzano tomatoes, cheese, deli meats, fish, pasta, cookies, chocolates & many other hard to find Italian delicacies.
Of particular prestige is the selection of italian wines offered, meticulously curated by Sommelier Gessica Guidi. Over the years, she has selected a collection of exceptional labels sourced from small-scale vineyards across the main Italian regions.
